Access control FAQ
Concise answers for players and server owners using this ServerBuddy utility.
Does the whitelist tool verify Minecraft accounts?
It validates username format in the browser. The optional UUID lookup calls Mojang profile lookup for valid names, then uses the returned UUIDs in whitelist.json output.
What does enforce-whitelist do?
When enabled, Java servers enforce the whitelist more strictly for players already connected or trying to reconnect. It is commonly paired with white-list=true.
Can Bedrock servers use these commands?
These commands are for Java server console syntax. Bedrock servers and proxy networks may use different access-control commands.
