Config builder FAQ

Concise answers for players and server owners using this ServerBuddy utility.

What is server.properties in Minecraft?

server.properties is the Java server configuration file for settings such as MOTD, max players, game mode, difficulty, PvP, whitelist and view distance.

Can this generate every possible property?

It covers the settings most Java server owners edit first, plus warnings for risky fields. Paper, Spigot, Purpur and version-specific settings should still be checked against your server software documentation.

Should I put my public IP in server-ip?

Most public Java servers should leave server-ip blank unless their host specifically tells them to bind to a particular local address.
