Privacy Policy
ServerBuddy is designed around public server discovery, not user accounts. The site focuses on public server status and avoids storing Minecraft player names or UUIDs for V1 telemetry.
Server data
Public profiles may include server address, edition, version, MOTD, icon, player counts, uptime and related metadata.
Submission safety
Add-server submissions may be rate-limited and normalized to prevent abuse, duplicate listings and unsafe targets.
Site analytics
ServerBuddy records public page requests, including detected crawler visits, to understand traffic and improve the site. This can include page path, referrer hostname, campaign tags, request time, coarse country code supplied by the network edge, browser, device and operating-system category. For browser visits, anonymous first-party identifiers also measure session length, active time and scroll depth. Raw IP addresses are not stored; network and user-agent identifiers are protected with one-way keyed hashes. ServerBuddy also loads Ahrefs' browser analytics script.
Support tickets
When you create a support ticket, ServerBuddy stores the name, reply email, category, subject, message, related server details, outbound support replies, delivery status, ticket status and private administrator notes needed to investigate and respond. Network identifiers may be processed temporarily for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Ticket records are retained for operational, safety and dispute-history needs.
Removal verification
Server removal requests use a one-time public DNS TXT record. ServerBuddy stores proof digests, request timestamps and a one-way hash of the requester's IP address for verification, rate limiting and abuse prevention. Private request credentials are not stored in plain text. Expired, unverified request records are deleted after 30 days. Verified proof records and historical server telemetry may be retained after the public listing is removed.
No accounts
ServerBuddy does not require player accounts for browsing, searching or submitting public servers in the current product.
