What does tellraw do in Minecraft?

tellraw sends a JSON-formatted chat message to one or more players. Server owners use it for announcements, notices and custom messages.

Does this support click events and hover events?

Java messages support hover text and HTTP or HTTPS links. Select the Java message format that matches your server. Bedrock rawtext supports colored text but does not use Java click or hover events.

Does tellraw work on every server?

You need permission to run commands on the server. Java and Bedrock use different message structures, and Java changed event field names in 1.21.5. Choose the matching format before copying the command.
